Dear Mr. Marshall:
Thanks kindly for your prompt reply. I am a new user here so found your message just now when clicking on for the lst time where you responded.
I traded a one top ' 56 T-bird back to the selling dealer in Palm Bch., Fl. for the Mark and a ' 52 Packard Model 250 convertible (their only one that year). Both cars were a stretch at being number 4's. I had both restored but the Mark is the crown jewel.
Mr. Rosen at Mark ll Enterprises was kind enough to give me the Staranack name from his records. I have not tried contacting the family member, age 90, in Scottsdale but in looking up the name it showed Charlotte, N.C. as their former residence so that fits with prior owner history provided to me by the selling dealer.
Thanks again. I sincerely appreciate your effort.

Mr. Marshall:
I owned a ' 59 T-bird conv. in college, own an ' 02 T-bird daily driver and my wife drives a late model Volvo.
Great minds think alike?
Thanks again.

Many of these Mark II's will still be around 500 year after we are not. All we are doing is holding them in trust for others 50, 100, 500 maybe 1,000 years from now so the histories being developed here are important, to us, for sure but for hundreds yet born that we obviously have no knowledge of this day.

That's quite a coincidence. Even more is that my "work" car is my wife's old 740 Volvo Turbo. It's still hotter than a 4-balled tomcat!
I used to have an old friend who, whenever I would say "Great minds think alike!, would respond, "Yes but remember fools seldom differ'"

Dennis,
When you respond to this, go below what's on your screen and look at "Do not subscribe". Using the pull-down window leave it set at "Instant e-mail notification". You will be sent an e-mail showing that someone has responded to a thread you have subscribed to. When you get the e-mail click on the top link. That will take you directly to the response.
It takes a while for all of us to catch on. Don't worry about it.

Dear Barry:
Thanks very much for your considerate instructions.
As you can see I can attest to being a slow learner on the site.
