Hello Group,
I guess we all have noticed that the rocker panels get very hot and that it radiates into the passenger compartment. When I replace my exhaust system I am considering wrapping the pipes with mineral fabric exhaust heat shield. But I am concerned that this will collect dirt/moisture and cause rust. I am also considering a metal panel, etc.
Who has resolved this problem?

I have, I simply drive faster.:D

Seriously, I've taken mine on numerous trips and it hasn't been a problem. The only time they seem to get real hot is when I'm in a parade.

Now, if your heat valve is stuck, or not properly set up) the exhaust will all go down the driver's side, making that rocker much hotter than normal.
